Encouragement For March 17:
A
little boy came home from school telling his Aunt how everything was
going wrong at school. There were school problems, family problems,
health problems, and even he was having some problems.
Meanwhile,
Auntie was in the kitchen putting some various ingredients in a bowl
to make a chocolate cake. “Would you like a snack?” Auntie
asked.
“Yes, I would.” he replies.
She pours some
melted butter in the bowl and hands him the rest, “Would you like
some butter?”
“Yuk.” he shrugs.
Then she cracks some
eggs and puts them in the bowl, “How about a couple of raw
eggs?”
“Gross Auntie!”
“How about some sugar? Some
flour? Some baking powder? Or some cocoa powder?”
“Auntie,
none of that would make a good snack!”
Auntie replies, “You
see, all these ingredients are needed to make a delicious chocolate
cake, but without one of them it would be awful. When they are put
together the right order, it is made into something wonderfully
delicious.
God works the same way in our lives, many times we
wonder why He would allow us to go through so much that seems like it
is not good for us, but they are all ingredients to make us into
something wonderful. We just have to trust Him, put all the
ingredients together in the right order and, eventually, they will
all make something wonderful in us!"
“And
he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will
of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
