Title:
The
King of kings
Hello
My Friend,
There
are thousands of movies and documentaries that portray Armageddon or
the rapture, I imagine they have been making them since film was
invented. All of them give some glimpse that someone has read the
Bible to some extent, but it is clear that they are not getting the
whole picture because the Bible explains exactly how Jesus will
return and reign as King. “And
I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was
called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make
war. His
eyes were
as a flame of fire, and on his head were
many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he
himself. And he was
clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The
Word of God. And the armies which
were
in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen,
white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with
it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of
iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of
Almighty God. And he hath on his
vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF
LORDS.”
- Revelation 19:11-16.
From the first sin committed in the
garden of Eden, God had a plan to destroy the corrupt world the devil
made out of His creation and create a new world, without any
corruption, where all would be one nation truly under God, where all
His people and all His creation will live together in perfect peace
and harmony for eternity. God also needed a king to run His new
kingdom, since God is the Creator of all things and can do anything
He wants He chose to do that Himself in the form of Jesus Christ.
Through Isaiah God foretells of the child, the Son, who would be born
of the flesh, but all God. “The
people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that
dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light
shined. For
unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of
Peace. Of
the increase of his
government and peace there
shall be
no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it,
and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”
- Isaiah 9:2,6,7.
Isaiah, David, Moses, Abraham, and even
Adam knew that God would one day send a King to reign them. Our
Wonderful, our Counselor, our Lord Jesus Christ, born in this world
like you and I to righteously judge every single one of us who was
born since the creation of man, even Adam and Eve must stand before
Jesus. False religions have turned the Bible completely upside down,
they are as bad as those movies, and sadly, they send millions of
people straight to hell when they die. Whether you are a Jew or not,
if you do not know Jesus Christ personally as your Savior you will
end up in hell? This is confirmed by God Himself through Isaiah.
“Therefore
the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in
one day. The ancient and honourable, he is
the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is
the tail. For the leaders of this people cause them
to err; and they
that are
led of them are
destroyed. Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men,
neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every
one is
an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all
this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is
stretched out still.”
- Isaiah 9:14-17.
God is so merciful that He gives even the
false religions a chance to repent, every person will have the
opportunity to at least know who Jesus Christ is before they die. I
was talking with a lady that asked, “How can anyone really know
they are going to heaven?” My reply, “The Bible tells us how we
can know. You know who Jesus is, that He died for you. It's not
religion that we look to to get us to heaven, it's Jesus.” She
nodded, but could not get past her religion. It's the false prophets
that teach this and if they do not repent they will end up in hell
too. “And
the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and
brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are,
and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And
the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every
man according to their works.”
- Revelation 20:10,13.
Through Isaiah, God foretells the new
Kingdom in which Jesus will reign as King to all who believe in Him.
“But
with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity
for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod
of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the
wicked. And
righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the
girdle of his reins. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the
leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion
and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And
in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an
ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest
shall be glorious. And
it shall come to pass in that day, that
the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the
remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from
Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from
Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.”
- Isaiah 11:4-6,10,11.
What an amazing experience that those
who put their faith and trust in the Gospel of Christ will have, to
live with Him, to enjoy life just like we do today without any
corruption of the world. To never age, to never feel sorrow or pain,
to never be a victim or even do anything evil to others, that alone
is reason to look to the Savior. Jews and Gentiles alike will stand
before the throne of Jesus and His judgment will be based on one
thing and one thing only, if we know Him personally as our Savior.
“Many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy
name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works?
And
then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.”
- Matthew 7:22,23.
All, before they die, before they face
Jesus, before they get cast into hell, have the opportunity to be
saved right now. All who believe in and accept Christ as their Savior
will be saved. All they have to do to be saved is simply say, “I
believe in You, Jesus. Save me.” All who believe trust in His
finished work. “And
in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou
wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst
me. Behold,
God is
my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH
is
my strength and my
song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye
draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye
say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among
the people, make mention that his name is exalted.”
- Isaiah 12:1-4.
Today's
Prayer:
Jesus, It still amazes me that You went through so much pain to save
me and my simple faith and trust in Your finished work is all I need
to be saved from hell. When I think of the years I was caught up in
false religion and where I would be if I died before I knew the truth
I cringe. I know that no one wants to end up in hell, Lord, work in
the heart of every unsaved soul who reads this and help them
understand what You did for them and how important it is to know You.
Give me Your power, use me to be a witness to the lost, and help me
to be bold to ask all if they know You. In Your name Jesus. Amen.
