Title:
Those Who Believe
Hello
My Friend,
I
have been thinking a lot about creation lately as I read through the
Book of Psalms, science thinks it has everything figured out, but in
reality, they do not have a clue. Oh, they can give you the
scientific version of how a baby is conceived and born, but they
cannot explain creation. No one can possibly explain how a person or
any other life on earth is created, and to believe that we have just
evolved into who we are today is just absurd, someone would have had
to even create the spec that started it all. We alll have a Creator
and that is God, but being created my God does not mean that we are
all God's children. To be a child of God, one needs to know His Son,
Jesus Christ. “According
as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that
we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having
predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to
himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, In
whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated
according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the
counsel of his own will: That
we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in
Christ.”
- Ephesians 1:4,5,11,12.
This is nothing new, since God
created man all had to look to Jesus to be one of His children, even
Adam and Eve had to believe in Jesus (See Genesis Chapter 3). God
really does want every person to believe in His Son, if He has to
place affliction in someone to prove to them that He is God, He will,
and let me tell you, until you are faced with affliction you really
do not know the power of God. The psalmist reminds those who believe
that although they may be afflicted God will never cast them away.
“He
that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye,
shall he not see? He
that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth
man knowledge, shall not he know? The LORD knoweth the thoughts of
man, that they are vanity. Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O
LORD, and teachest him out of thy law; That thou mayest give him rest
from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake
his inheritance.”
- Psalm 94:9-14.
Those who receive Christ receive God's
inheritance, which is the Kingdom of God, while they may suffer from
time to time, whether it is due to something we caused on our own or
if it is just in God's will, we are still God's, and will not be cast
into the pit for the wicked. “He
that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and
he shall be my son.
But
the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have
their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which
is the second death.”
- Revelation 20:21,7,8.
One day all nations will know Christ,
those who reject Him now are in for a rude awakening, and sadly, we
who are saved have to endure some of the affliction placed upon them,
but we will be saved from judgment. Jesus is coming, sooner than we
think, whether
or not people believe that, and He is not asking for anyone's
approval, He's just coming and all His wrath with Him. “Declare
his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the
LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above
all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD
made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and
beauty are in his sanctuary. Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he
cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with
righteousness, and the people with his truth.”
- Psalm 96:3-6,13.
Anyone can escape judgment, salvation
is made available to everyone that believes in and receives Christ,
the poor, rich, healthy, crippled, happy, sad, black, white, Jew, and
Gentile (anyone not a Jew). God gives all a chance to now His Son and
be saved. “The
LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly
shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and
his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have
seen the salvation of our God. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all
the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Before
the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall
he judge the world, and the people with equity.”
- Psalm 98:2-4,9.
It's sad that people go through such
lengths to prove something they can never prove. They could have
received knowledge to find a cure for a disease or teach people the
truth, instead they chose to question God's existence or worse, try
to make a god of themselves. Those who believe do not question God's
existence nor how they are created, they just know they are one of
God's and not only His creation, but His child as well. “Know
ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we
ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter
into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be
thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his
mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
- Psalm 100:3-5.
I remember growing up I learned of things
like reincarnation, mother nature, astrology, and evolution, which
then was just about monkeys, I couldn't believe what I learned after
not being is school for twenty years. All of it lies, all of it was
wasted space of the brain that could have been used to receive truth
and keep me from making a lot less mistakes over the years. We who
have experienced all these things and more are testimonies of the
amazing mercy and grace of God. He loves us all and longs for all to
know the truth and He uses us to reach those who are unknown to the
truth so they do not have to suffer like we did. “And
our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the
sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. Now he which
stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who
hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our
hearts.”
- 2 Corinthians 1:7,21,22.
People can deny creation, they can
deny God, and they can deny Christ, but none of that changes the fact
that they die and be cast right into hell only to be resurrected to
face a second death much worse than the first. “Jesus
answered and said unto him,
Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see
the kingdom of God.
He
that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God.
He
that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is
true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God
giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son,
and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son
hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not
see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
- John 3:3,18,33-36.
Today's
Prayer:
(taken from Psalm 101) God, I
will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. I
will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come
unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. I will set
no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn
aside; it
shall not cleave to me. A froward heart shall depart from me: I will
not know a wicked person. In Jesus' name. Amen.
