Homosexuality is a sin, it is known as sodomy. “And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.” - I Kings 14:24.

So, many people think that God somehow implanted a gene into people that automatically makes them a homosexual. This is false, God made male and female to join together as one not the same sex. “And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” - Genesis 2:23,24.

People who believe that God made them gay just come to that conclusion on their own, it is of their own choice, like any other choice. God will not stop anyone from choosing the life they want to live, but the truth is, homosexuality is of their own choice, not something God made them to be. “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” - Romans 1:24-32.

Homosexuality is a sin and an abomination to God, just like any other sin and it comes with the same consequences, “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.” - Revelation 21:27.

Likewise, many people think that God hates people who are homosexual, this is false. It is sin, just like any other sin and is treated just the same as any other sin. God hates sin, not the sinner, remember, Jesus gave His life for sinners, which we all are, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” - Romans 3:23. We all come short of heaven and deserve to be omitted from the Book of Life, but just like any other sinner who receives Christ as their Savior, God will save save homosexuals who ask them to save them too, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” - Romans 10:13.
