A person does not need to be problem free in order to accept Jesus into his/her life. We all have problems and if we waited until problems do not exist than that will be never. No one goes problem free and in fact it is during these times when one is in need of Him even more. God uses circumstances like these to bring us closer to Him not further away.

Ungodly habits and addictions come about when a person is lost and confused. They are in need of help and Satan lures them with unhealthy lifestyles and substances to make them think they need them in order to cope.

Once, again. you never know when your last day on earth will be, are you willing to go another day not knowing Christ when faced with the misfortune of spending the rest of eternity burning in a lake of fire?

God knows what you are going through and also knows that you can not just say forgive me, then a switch is turned off and you will be problem/addiction free. He knows you will need to work on your problem and wants you to help you through it. In fact when you accept Jesus into your life, He fills you with the power of the Holy Spirit and it enables you to step by step overcome any habit or addiction that controls you.

Scriptures Showing God Can Help:
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:" - Isaiah 1:18-19

"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." - Hebrews 8:12-13

"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." - Hebrews 10:16-22
