"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16.

Please do not spend your life in fear of trying to do the right thing in order to to keep your salvation, it is a gift from God through the Lord Jesus Christ and no one, thing, or act can take that away!

Of course as you grow in Christ you will learn to live a more godly life, but that does not mean that you will never make any more mistakes, you will make many more in your lifetime. Each day you grow more Christ like as long as you stay in God's Word and keep Jesus with you. 

Yes, circumstances and temptations can cause a person to fall away from God, but once a person accepts Jesus into their hearts he/she is forever saved. God loves us and knows that we will at times lose focus on Him and in some cases fall away from Him all together. However, He is right there waiting for you to repent and willing to guide you back in the right direction.

"For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:12,13.

"Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life." - I John 2:23-25.
