The Truth About Theistic Evolution

There are people out there whom call themselves Theistic Evolutionists who somehow believe that evolution comes from God. Theistic Evolutionists believe that evolution is taken for granted and is the universal principle for life itself. They believe that there is absolutely no difference between the origin of the earth and life, known as the principle of uniformity.

Like Big Bang, theistic evolutionists rely on processes that allow increases in organization from the simple to the complex, from non-life to life, and from lower to higher forms of life. The driving forces of evolution are mutation, selection, isolation, and mixing. Chance and necessity, long time epochs, ecological changes, and death are additional indispensable factors. The time line is so prolonged that anyone can have as much time as he/she likes for the process of evolution.

In addition to these evolutionary assumptions, three additional beliefs apply to theistic evolution, they believe that God used evolution as a means of creating. That the Bible contains no usable or relevant ideas which can be applied in present-day origins science and that declare that evolution theories have priority over biblical statements. The Bible must be reinterpreted when and wherever it contradicts the present evolutionary world view.

These people claim to believe in God, have millions of followers, and all this comes down to is one thing, Control. They want to claim their fame as the ones who figured out how God works. However, they are wrong! Sadly, they are bringing millions of Christian's down with them, leading those already questioning their faith to further confusion. There are several reasons why this theory is just as wrong as the rest of them.

1. Misrepresentation of The Nature of God

Theistic evolution gives a false representation of the nature of God because death and horror are ascribed to the Creator as principles of creation. Progressive creationism, likewise, allows for millions of years of death and horror before sin.

The Bible reveals God as our Father in Heaven, whom is
A) Absolutely Perfect
, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." -Matthew 5:48.
B) Holy
, "And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory." - Isaiah 6:3
C) Omnipotent
, "Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:" - Jeremiah 32:17

2. False Sense That God Becomes A God of The Gaps

In theistic evolution the only workspace allotted to God is that part of nature which evolution cannot explain with the means presently at its disposal. In this way He is reduced to being a god of the gaps for those phenomena about which there are doubts. This leads to the view that God is therefore not absolute, but He Himself has evolved. The Bible states that God is the Prime Cause of all things, "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." - 1 Corinthians 8:6.

3. Denies Central Biblical Teachings

The doctrine of theistic evolution undermines this basic way of reading the Bible, as vouched for by Jesus, the prophets and the Apostles. Events reported in the Bible are reduced to mythical imagery, and an understanding of the message of the Bible as being true in word and meaning is lost. The entire Bible bears witness that we are dealing with a source of truth authored by God, "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." - II Timothy 3:15-17.

The Old Testament is the indispensable ramp leading to the New Testament. The biblical creation account should not be regarded as a myth, a parable, or an story, but as a historical report, because:

A) Biological, astronomical and anthropological facts are given throughout the Bible in teaching form.
B)  The Ten Commandments God bases the six working days and one day of rest on the same time-span as that described in the creation account. "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." - Exodus 20:8-11.
C) The New Testament Jesus is referred to as facts of the creation, "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?" -Matthew 19:4,5.
D)  Nowhere in the Bible are there any indications that the creation account should be understood in any other way than as a factual report.

4. Lost Key For Finding God

Evolution knows no sin in the biblical sense of missing one's purpose in relation to God. Sin is made meaningless, and that is exactly the opposite of what the Holy Spirit does. He declares sin to be sinful. If sin is seen as a harmless evolutionary factor, then one has lost the key for finding God, which is not resolved by adding “God” to the evolutionary scenario. The Bible describes man as being completely ensnared by sin after Adam's fall, " For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do." -Romans 7:18,19.

Only those persons who realize that they are sinful and lost will seek the Savior whom came to save that which was lost, "And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." -Luke 19:9,10.

5. The Doctrine of God's Incarnation is Undermined

The idea of evolution undermines the foundation of our salvation. Evolutionist Hoimar von Ditfurth discusses the incompatibility of Jesus' incarnation and evolutionary thought: “Consideration of evolution inevitably forces us to a critical review of Christian formulations. This clearly holds for the central Christian concept of the incarnation of God. The incarnation of God through His Son Jesus Christ is one of the basic teachings of the Bible. The Bible states that The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." -  John 1:14. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:" - Philippians 2:5-7.

6. Views Redemption Through Jesus As Mythological

Theistic evolution does not acknowledge Adam as the first man, nor that he was created directly from the dust of the ground by God, "And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof." - Genesis 2:19. Most theistic evolutionists regard the creation account as being merely a mythical tale, albeit with some spiritual significance. However, the sinner Adam and the Savior Jesus are linked together, the Bible teaches that the first man's fall into sin was a real event and that this was the direct cause of sin in the world. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." - Romans 5:12-14.

7. Loss of Biblical Chronology

Theistic evolutionists and progressive creationists disregard the biblical measures of time in favor of evolutionist time-scales involving billions of years both past and future for which there are no convincing physical grounds. Theistic evolution ignores all such biblical creation principles and replaces them with evolutionary notions, thereby contradicting and opposing God's omnipotent acts of creation. The Bible carries the seal of truth, and all its pronouncements are authoritative - whether they deal with questions of faith and salvation, daily living, or matters of scientific importance. The Bible provides us with a time-scale for history and this underlies a proper understanding of the Bible. This time-scale includes:
A. The time-scale cannot be extended indefinitely into the past, nor into the future. There is a well-defined beginning, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." - Genesis 1:1. As well as a moment when physical time will end, "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." -Matthew 24:14.

B. The total duration of creation was six days, "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." - Exodus 20:11.

C. The age of the universe may be estimated in terms of the genealogies recorded in the Bible, although it can not be calculated exactly. It is however, of the order of several thousand years old and not billions.

D. The most outstanding event in the world's history is revealed, "Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons." - Galatians 4:3-5. This happened nearly 2,000 years ago.

E. The return of Christ in power and glory is the greatest expected future event.

8. Loss of Creation Concepts

Theistic evolution ignores all such biblical creation principles and replaces them with evolutionary notions, thereby contradicting and opposing God's omnipotent acts of creation.  Certain essential creation concepts are taught in the Bible.

These include:
A. God created matter without using any available material.
B. God created the earth first, and on the fourth day He added the moon, the solar system, our local galaxy, and all other star systems. This sequence conflicts with all ideas of “cosmic evolution,” such as the “big bang” cosmology.

9. Misrepresentation of Reality

The Bible carries the seal of truth, and all its pronouncements are authoritative - whether they deal with questions of faith and salvation, daily living, or matters of scientific importance. Evolutionists brush all this aside.

10. Missing the Purpose

In no other historical book do we find so many and such valuable statements of purpose for man as in the Bible.
For example:

A. Man is God's purpose in creation, " So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." -Genesis 1:27-28.

B. Man is the purpose of God's plan of redemption, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5.
C. Man is the purpose of the mission of God's Son, "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." - 1 John 4:9.
D. We are the purpose of God's inheritance, "That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." - Titus 3:7.
E. Heaven is our destination, "To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you," - 1 Peter 1:4.

Conclusion
How sad it is to believe in God, yet not in His Word, theistic evolutionists have no clue as to who God is, I doubt that any of them are saved because if they were they would not have come up with these theories in the first place. Take a serious look at theological scholars and see if they even believe that Jesus is the Son of God or have accepted to live for Him. What they are actually doing is compromising with the world in order to seek fame and financial gain. They completely ignore God's True Word, creating these fictional books that they call a bible, use that to base their theories on while making millions of dollars deceiving already confused people by convincing them of this nonsense.  What they fail to realize is that God does not compromise! Jesus Said, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." - Matthew 6:24.

The truth is that we need to get back to reality and stop thinking of new theories in order to defy God and His Word. God is real and so is the Bible, the only way anyone will even know Him is by accepting Jesus, if one does not accept Him than they will never know the truth.
